POSITION SUMMARY
  • Performs various production and operations related tasks as part of an empowered team.
  • As an individual, and as part of the team, assures adherence to established standards, policies and procedures relating to quality, cost reduction, safety, attendance, quality compliance, and audits.
  • Reports to supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
  • Operates and maintains an environment that is safe, clean and assists with 5S responsibilities.
  • Assist with production requirements, preventive maintenance, quality control, logistics and safety.
  • Performs job responsibilities associated to work area per documented SOP’s.
  • Assist with training other production associates.
  • Assist Engineering in suggesting/implementing process Improvements.
  • Performs quality inspections for in process and finished product as required.
  • Manages time card and reports work hours to supervisor.
  • Coordinates work activities with other production associates to achieve work objectives.
  • Assist with material handling to stage material at work area for jobs being run.
  • Monitor and adjust machine parameters as needed to manufacture product.
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level.
  • Assist with crating/packaging product.
  • Assist with loading/shipping product and completing all required documentation.
  • Responsible for performing and monitoring the utilization and effectiveness of the inspection, calibration, and nonconforming material procedures in accordance with the Quality System guidelines.
  • Reports to the Line Supervisor.
SUGGESTED LEVEL OF FORMALIZED TRAINING:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer operations including primary software skills, keyboard functions and printer operation. (Basic Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word knowledge would be a plus.)
  • Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENT:
  • Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arms length, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate and work with others in a professional manner in a team environment.
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision and color vision.
  • Able to use a computer to enter and retrieve information.
  • Must be able to use a variety of measurement devices in a Quality setting (tape measure, calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, etc).
  • A hands-on, team oriented individual with the ability to multitask.
  • Must be able to communicate with all production personnel, maintenance, and staff members on daily basis.
  • Must be flexible with work schedule. (Willing to work different shifts.)
  • Must be able to work in summer time temperatures on occasions.

Maintenance Technician

POSITION SUMMARY
  • Provides support to facility in to help insure equipment operates correctly and efficiently.
  • Works with quality, production and engineering in process improvements.
  • Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
  • Maintains part inventory for facility and equipment to minimize downtime due to repairs.
  • Maintains Preventative Maintenance Program to ensure maximum up time for all departments.
  • Reports to the Maintenance Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTION
  • Perform routine predictive and corrective Maintenance on all plant & facility equipment.
  • Identifies problems and repairs or replaces defective parts for facility.
  • Communicates & schedules repairs.
  • Maintains maintenance data base/logs to track critical components’ and subsequent activities.
  • Maintain/recommend inventory regarding maintenance, spare components and manufacturing general parts supplies.
  • Operates fork lift as necessary.
  • Active participant in quality, safety, & production improvement teams.
  • Performs & maintains general housekeeping.
  • Follows all safety rules & serves as a safety role model for others.
  • Adheres to/supports plant safety program.
  • Assist in repairs, improvements and upgrades for facility and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, repair and correct mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and process problems associated with production equipment to ensure proper operation.
  • Ability to assemble, disassemble, and convert/upgrade production lines or support equipment as required for repairs, upgrades and/or installations.
  • Regularly inspect production lines and support equipment and schedule necessary preventive maintenance routines.
  • Ability to identify and work with contractors to repair, install, remove, and/or upgrade equipment
  • Weld together metal parts, equipment pieces, etc. as needed.
SUGGESTED LEVEL OF FORMALIZED TRAINING
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Electrical or mechanical experience.
  • 3+ years experience in maintenance field within a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical degree in maintenance field preferred.
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENT
  • Working knowledge of basic computer operations including primary software skills, keyboard functions and printer operation. (Basic Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word knowledge would be a plus.)
  • Exceptional knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Ability to use manual and precisions tools to repair and trouble shoot equipment.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and quality practices.
  • Mechanical, electrical, electronics, pneumatic, hydraulic and metal working skills as well as the tools necessary to work on them.
  • Above average problem-solving skills.
  • Communication and team skills – ability to work with others to troubleshoot and resolves problems.
  • Must be able to work overtime as required with notification and flexible in shift assignment.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours to address urgent situations.
  • May require on-call status on occasion. (night/weekend).
  • Willing to keep up with latest technological advances as it relates to maintenance of equipment and plant.
  • Off-site training to support plant operations.
